Bright House Networks is excited to offer extensive Olympic coverage on a variety of digital and HD channels, including NBC HD, Universal HD, and Free on Demand.
NBC Universal will broadcast 3,600 hours of coverage from this summer’s Olympic Games in Beijing across its various networks and NBCOlympics.com. More than 75%, or 2,900 hours, of the coverage will be broadcast live. Also, this is the first time the Olympics will be broadcast entirely in high definition.
NBC’s broadcast network will take center stage for medal contests in swimming, men’s and women’s gymnastics and beach volleyball during prime time. Other competitions will air on USA Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Oxygen, Telemundo and Universal HD, in addition to NBCOlympics.com. NBCU’s coverage will average out to about 212 hours per day, more than the total for the Atlanta Games in 1996.
