The awarded-winning Noggin and The N, two of Nickelodeon’s and MTVN Kids and Family Group brands that currently share a single channel, will be separated into two 24-hour services beginning Monday, December 31st.
The commercial-free preschool network Noggin will expand to 24 hours, and will now offer more of the network’s quality, educational children’s programming. The N will remain ad-supported and will serve tweens and teens with programming from Nickelodeon’s popular TEENick block during the day, and The N’s original and acquired teen-targeted programming at night.
Noggin will remain on its current channel 110 and The N will move into the current channel position occupied by the Nick Games and Sports Channel - channel 117. GAS will evolve into a new broadband service for TurboNick.
Noggin, with its mission to be a place where preschoolers gain key curricular knowledge through interactivity and narrative, features a schedule of original programming including Jack’s Big Music Show, Oobi, and The Upside Down Show, in additional to showcasing music from popular children’s recording artists like The Laurie Berkner Band. The network also offers hit shows including Bill Cosby’s Little Bill, Franklin, Max & Ruby, Little Bear, Pinky Dinky Doo, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! and Oswald, in addition to Nick Jr. favorites like Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego, Go!, The Wonder Pets!, Blues’ Clues and The Backyardigans.

The N will now feature hit TEENick programming during the day including Drake & Josh, The Amanda Show, and Unfabulous, among others. Programming at night will feature the N’s current stable of original hits including, Degrassi: The Next Generation, The Best Years and South of Nowhere, as well as hit acquired series Dawson’s Creek, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and The Hills. New and upcoming original programming includes new seasons of Degrassi, Instant Star, South of Nowhere, Beyond the Break and the original comedy About A Girl as well as the hit series Saved by the Bell and That 70’s show. |
