- How do I set up my Digital Phone Online Tools to hear my Voice Mail messages?
First you must set up your Voice Mail through your Digital Phone. This will require you to call into the Voice Mail system, record a greeting and set a PIN.
- I can’t log into my account. What should I do?
Make sure that your username (phone number) is correct and that you are using the four digit PIN which you set to access your Voice Mail.
- Why am I unable to hear my Voice Mail messages online?
To hear your voice messages online you need a media playback tool configured to play .WAV files, such as Media Player, RealPlayer, WinAmp, QuickTime, Ultra Player, or Sonique. Many of these tools are free downloads. We are always testing new media playback tools, so we encourage you to contact us if one you are using is not compatible with Digital Phone Online Tools.
- Does the Media Player launch immediately for me to listen to my messages?
The Media Player may take several seconds to launch.
- I have configured my media playback tool to play .WAV files and I am still unable to hear my Voice Mail messages. Now what?
Please check your computer audio in the task bar and make sure that the mute option is not checked. Next verify that the sound is turned up enough to hear the messages.
- How long will messages stay on the Digital Phone Online Tools?
Voice Mail messages will remain indefinitely as long as you don't delete them either through the Digital Phone Online Tools Site or your telephone, although it is suggested that you store them to your computer’s hard drive.
- Will I receive email notification of new Voice Mail messages?
Not at this time. We anticipate this feature to be a part of future voice Digital Phone Online Tools enhancements.
- How do I know if I have new Voice Mail messages while logged on the Digital Phone Online Tools site?
Click the Refresh button and all new messages will be displayed.
- How many Voice Mail messages can I have?
Your Voice Mail box is limited to about 40 minutes of messages, but there is no limit to the number of messages.
- What will happen when my Voice Mail box is full?
Callers will be notified if the mailbox is full and not accepting new messages.
- Can callers mark Voice Mail messages they leave as urgent?
Yes, callers will be prompted, while leaving a message, to mark the message with a priority level.
- How can I listen to my Voice Mail messages?
There are currently three ways to listen to your messages:
- While at home - Pick up your home line and call your home phone number. Follow the voice prompts that tell you how to listen to your messages.
- While away from home - Call your home phone number from another phone by calling the Voice Mail remote access number (must not be answered by someone at home).
- Anywhere - From a computer with online access by logging on to the Digital Phone Online Tools site.
- Can I hear my messages online if I have a Mac?
Yes. The Digital Phone Online Tools site is available for PC and MAC browsers. MAC users logging in for the first time will be prompted to setup iTunes by clicking on the media icon. Voicemail will automatically convert to a .wav file which will allow you to listen to your voice mail message when you click on the icon. MAC users may also listen to Voice Mail messages via MP3 or AAC (Advanced Audio Coding). If this is not your first time logging in, your voicemail will automatically convert to a .wav file when you click on the icon to play your voice mail message.
- Can I change the order in which my Voice Mail messages are displayed?
Yes. Voice Mail messages are displayed in the order they are received, newest to oldest. However you can click on a column header to resort your messages.
- What is the 5 letter security code?
The 5 letter security code cannot be read by a computer and must be entered manually. This helps to prevent automated processes, or scripts, from compromising accounts. Automated scripts are typically used to gain unauthorized access to accounts. Thank you for helping us to make our products and services more secure.
- Can I change my username at any time?
No. Your username is your 10-digit phone number.
- Is there an option to listen to my Voice Mails through my iTunes player, so it doesn’t save it in my iTunes library?
Yes. To change your default player from iTunes, go into the QuickTime control panel, click on the File Types tab and then check .WAV files. Once this is complete, ignore the iTunes request to make it the default player for audio files. .WAV files will now play in QuickTime.
- Can I view my monthly Digital Phone billing statement on the Online Tools web page?
Not at this time. We anticipate this feature to be a part of future Digital Phone Online Tools enhancements. But you can access this information on mybrighthouse.com, enter your zip code or go to your area’s home page - then, click on my account in the top navigation.
- How do I obtain a username and password to hear my Voice Mail messages online?
If you have never accessed Digital Phone Call Details, you must call the Bright House Networks Login Creation Hotline at (866) 809-8247 from your home Digital Phone, to obtain a temporary username and password.
- Why do I need to wait for Bright House Networks to call me back to obtain my temporary username and password to access Digital Phone Online Tools?
Calling you on your Digital Phone ensures that we are protecting your privacy and validates your authority to set up a temporary username and password.
- I am a new customer. Why does the system tell me it can’t find my account when I call the Login Creation Hotline?
If you are a new customer it may take up to 48 hours for your account to be processed in our system. Please wait to call the Bright House Networks Login Creation Hotline until 48 hours after your account has been set up.
- What if I already have a username and password to access Digital Phone Call Details, can I still access Digital Phone Online Tools?
Yes. Your current username and password will still be valid.
- If I have never logged into Digital Phone Call Details, can I still use my existing Digital Phone Online Tools username and password?
No. You will have to contact the Bright House Networks Login Creation Hotline at (866) 809-8247 to obtain a new username and password.
- Can I call from anywhere to obtain a username and password to access Digital Phone Online Tools?
No. You must call the Bright House Networks Login Creation Hotline from your home Digital Phone.
- Can I select my own username and password to access Digital Phone Online Tools?
Once you have obtained a temporary username and password, you will be prompted to change them when you log into the Digital Phone Call Details Website.
- I forgot my Login Password, what do I do?
You will have to contact the Bright House Networks Login Creation Hotline at (866) 809-8247 to obtain a new username and password.
