Bright House Networks of Michigan Adds ESPN2 High Definition

Bright House Networks of Michigan announced today the addition of ESPN2HD (High Definition) to its high definition package. As the leading provider of cable television, high-speed Internet and digital phone services, Bright House Networks' ESPN2 HD allows customers games with true widescreen perspective, 5.1 surround sound and brilliant, crystal clear pictures.
Bright House's ESPN HD and ESPN2 HD will deliver more than 7,000 hours in high definition this year. Furthermore, more than 95% of ESPN and ESPN2's studio programming originates in HD, including SportsCenter, NFL Countdown, NFL Monday Night Countdown, NFL Live and Baseball Tonight, ESPN2's Cold Pizza and 1st and 10 will begin airing in HD this June. In addition to live sports programming, ESPN HD and ESPN2 HD produce individual programs, movies and series from ESPN Original Entertainment.
"ESPN2 High Definition is another upgrade to Bright House's already existing HD package, ensuring incredible picture quality and instant coverage, keeping sports fans up-to-date on their favorite programs," said Robert McCann, President of Bright House Networks of Michigan. In 2006, ESPN2 HD telecasted over 325 High Definition sporting events including Major League Baseball, College Football, College Basketball, National Hot Rod Association, and other studio programming. This year, ESPN2's coverage of NASCAR will be exclusively available in High Definition on ESPN2 HD.

NASCAR Busch Series (Fridays and Saturdays now until November): ESPN2 is home to 29 of 35 NASCAR Busch Series. The Busch Series is a unique mixture of both experienced drivers and amateur drivers. All races are telecast in HD and include feeds from all in-car cameras.

NASCAR Now (Monday thru Thursday, 6:30 p.m. and Sundays, times vary): ESPN2 is the destination for "Six Days of NASCAR knowledge" every week. NASCAR Now provides racing fans with the latest news and highlights from the track, as well as in-depth interviews with drivers and behind-the-scenes specials from the team garages. Host Erik Kuselias will be joined by a slew of anchors and reporters, including NASCAR Cup Champion crew chief Tim Brewer and five-time National Basketball Association (NBA) all-star Brad Daugherty, among others.

NBA Coast to Coast (Tuesdays in season, 9:00 p.m.): Every Tuesday during the NBA regular season, NBA Coast to Coast covers the night's pro hoops action with highlights, expert analysis and unique, live "look-ins" on games around the country. NBA Coast to Coast includes all the night's live games, giving fans a quick look at the action around the league as it unfolds. John Saunders hosts the show with analyst contributions from Greg Anthony, Tim Legler, Stephen A. Smith, March Stein and Ric Bucher.
